Daigo Oliva is a deputy photo and video editor at Folha de São Paulo. Previously, he served as deputy editor of the culture desk, and managed Folha's correspondents in New York, Washington D.C., Madrid and Buenos Aires. Since 2012, he has been writing about contemporary photography, focusing on photobook design, printing and sequencing. He started his career as a photojournalist for G1, a news website owned by Globo, the largest media organization in Brazil. Oliva has received several awards for his work, including the King of Spain prize, for journalists from Spain and Latin America, and an Award of Excellence in the 39th edition of the Society for News Design. He studied history at São Paulo State University.
